1' Sparsely branched, stiff and brittle, of somewhat spinescent submersed shoots; leaves pinnately lobed to toothed, oblong to linear, 5−30(−39) × 4−5 mm, with 5−13 toothlike lobes per margin and 2−4 prickles along lower midrib .. Najas marina [pics]
