1 Juvenile leaves opposite decussate and others helically alternate and sessile to subsessile; flowers mostly solitary in leaf axils, buds 18−25 mm diameter, strongly glaucous, open flowers 40−50 mm across; hypanthium 2- or 4-ridged; capsule conic to hemispheric, 18−25 mm diameter .. 1' Juvenile and adults leaves only helically alternate and petiolate, petioles 9−22 mm long; umbels axillary with (2−)4−10 flowers, 20−25 mm across; buds not glaucous; hypanthium ± smooth; capsule ± spheroid, 6−8 mm

2 Buds ca. 5 mm diameter, cap with nipplelike tip; capsule 6 mm long .. Eucalyptus camaldulensis var. camaldulensis   [pics]

2' Buds 6−8 mm diameter, cap ± blunt at tip; capsule 6.5−7 mm long .. Eucalyptus camaldulensis var. obtusa
